About Liverpool1207

Coat_of_arms_of_Liverpool_City_CouncilBorn in Walton in the early 60’s, but from age of 11 spent far too many years out of Liverpool returning in later years to live in the city centre, with a growing passion for its history and heritage. A lifelong match going LFC fan who sometimes wishes footy wasn’t so important to him!

This blog is just a little self-indulgence to feed my passion for all things Liverpool, and how it will evolve I do not know. My twitter feed at @Liverpool1207 compliments this site.

If you stumble upon the blog I hope you enjoy it, and please do contact me via twitter or email if you spot any errors or can add any details or personal recollections of the buildings or occurrences it relays.

 ‘DEUS NOBIS HAEC OTIA FECIT’

From the Roman poet Virgil.  Commonly translated as:

‘God has given to us this leisure’.
